Get ready for the holidays with The Rook Room and Scenic Route Bakery with our Holiday Board Game Wish List & Ugly Sweater Party supporting the YMCA Supportive Housing Campus!
Don your favorite ugly sweater for a cozy evening of board games, treats, hot drinks, and holiday fun on Thursday, December 12th from 6 pm to 9 pm at Scenic Route Bakery in the East Village.
Still working on that holiday wish list for family and friends? What about adding a few board games! We’ll have hundreds of games from our library for you to check out and play – so here’s your chance to try something new and decide you gotta have it!
Plus, be sure to wear your ugliest ugly sweater, because we’ll be giving away prizes for the best (worst?) dressed. The uglier and more genuine, the better. We’re talking that itchy, mustard yellow, cringe-inducing sweater your Aunt Marge made for you back in Christmas 1996 and hasn’t seen the light of day since. You know the one.
So gather up the family (kiddos are welcome) and come hang out with us for a fun night at Scenic Route Bakery. There will be plenty of treats, hot chocolate, coffee, wine, beer, and a super festive, exclusive holiday drink.
Cost is $10 per person with half of all proceeds being donated to our friends at the YMCA Supportive Housing Campus to help with its initiative to provide permanent housing to people in the community struggling with homelessness. Scenic Route Bakery is matching all donated proceeds, meaning your support goes even further! Extra donations are also encouraged. Items most in need include:

- Laundry baskets
- Paper towels
- Dish towels
- Liquid dish soap
- Household cleaning spray
- Sponges
- Soup
- Cereal
- Canned tuna/chicken
- Peanut butter
- Laundry soap
- Trash bags
- Hats/gloves
- Shampoo/Conditioner o Soap
- Shaving supplies
- Towels
- Clothing for adults
