National Game Store Day Celebration

Join us at the Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe for the first-annual Game Store Day and get in on the fun with tournaments, discounts, giveaways, prize drawings, and more!
The Rook Room is only one of a few participating game stores in the state, and we’re ready to celebrate all day on Saturday, November 1st. Here’s a look at what we have going on that day:
- Participate in or spectate our Catan Local Qualifier Tournament. The top 16 players snag official Catan prizes, and the overall winner gets an invite to compete in the regionals.
- Participate in or spectate our monthly Euchre Tournament. The top team snags custom, locally-made Euchre scoreboards.
- Play our Game Store Day Bingo. Get three in a row and submit your bingo card to be entered in a drawing for prizes, including Rook Room gift cards, PlayPasses, coupons, and even free tickets to Origins Game Fair 2026.
- Snag a d10 Discount on all retail items – board games, jigsaw puzzles, apparel, gaming accessories, mugs, and more. Roll a 10-sided die and get that % off your purchase!
- “Blind Date” Mystery Puzzle – take your chances and purchase a mystery-wrapped jigsaw puzzle. You get an awesome deal, BUT you’re not quite sure what design is inside. No matter what it is, we’re pretty sure it’ll be fun!

The Catan Local Qualifier Tournament starts at 9 AM. The Euchre Tournament begins at 11 AM. Walk-ins are welcome for both.
Game Store Day is a national initiative created by GAMA (Game Manufacturers Association) to celebrate and support local, independently owned game stores across the United States. The inaugural event focuses on in-store experiences, community building, and shopping local. Learn more at gama.org.
