Oh Snap! A Puzzlepalooza 90’s Throwback at SingleSpeed Brewing

Talk to the hand (and your best puzzling friends) and get ready for Oh Snap! A Puzzlepalooza 90’s Throwback special event.
The Rook Room’s extremely popular jigsaw puzzle competition, Puzzlepalooza, is back and it’s all that and a bag of chips with a special 90’s theme on Thursday, April 3rd at SingleSpeed Brewing.
Check-in begins at 6:00 PM and the competition begins promptly at 6:30 PM.
For those who haven’t been to a Puzzlepalooza before, teams of up to four face off in a race to be the first to complete their 500-piece puzzle. Sound easy? Don’t be deceived because the competition is stiff and we throw in more slams than a pile of Pogs with the opportunity to sabotage the other teams.
However, this isn’t your average Puzzlepalooza. This is Oh Snap! A Puzzlepalooza 90’s Throwback! This special edition of our jigsaw puzzle competition features a 90’s team theme contest, a 90’s soundtrack, and a special, totally fly sabotage.
We’ll have prizes for the most bomb team outfits, accessories, team anthems, and/or team names fitting the 90’s vibe.
SingleSpeed has an amazing menu full of tasty bites, brews, and non-alcoholic options – so come hungry and thirsty! Once you finish your puzzle, feel free to hang out and enjoy the nostalgia. As if!
Reservations are required and space is limited. Cost is $50 per team of up to 4 players and includes the puzzle, which is yours to keep. Only one registration is required per team.

Parking Information
Parking in the area is limited right now. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving yourself extra time to get there and carpooling if you’re able.
You’ll find a few parking spots at SingleSpeed. If those are full up, you can find additional on-street parking:
- On the south side of the Scott Avenue bridge
- On SE 2nd Street
- Along SE 5th Street and in the RAGBRAI parking lot

Waitlist Policy: We encourage you to keep these event dates open if possible. If something does come up or plans change, we certainly understand. Life is busy. We just request that you remove yourself from the waitlist by emailing us at info@therookroom.com and letting us know. Due to the popularity of our Puzzlepalooza events, we want to do our best to make sure that everyone who wants to attend has that chance. Failing to respond to multiple waitlist invites over several events may negatively affect your chances of receiving future invitations. Again, this policy is in place to help make sure we are able to help everyone who wants to attend has that opportunity and we appreciate your assistance in making that happen.
Refund Policy: Refunds will be accepted up to 7 days prior to the event based on the event start time. Refund requests made inside the 7-day window will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may be contingent on waitlist team acceptance. For refund requests within that window, we encourage you to reach out to info@therookroom.com to begin a conversation. We will do everything we can to try to reach the best outcome for all parties.
