Your Rook Room Membership gets you much more than free entry during PlayPass hours. As a member, you get a bunch of exclusive perks only available to you, including:

• Quarterly members-only events, including special food and beverage menu taste testing
• An annual member-exclusive Rook Room t-shirt
• Monthly free beverages (up to $8 value)
• d12 discount on any retail and merchandise purchases
• Exclusive access to the Rook Room Discord server
• Never pay a PlayPass fee
• Board Game Door Check – bypass our “No Outside Board Games” policy and bring in up to two games at a time from home. Check them in at the door or with a staff member.

Membership Details

Rook Room Memberships cost just $180 per year – that’s less than the cost of a movie ticket a month. And a lot less than a weekly venti sugar-free vanilla oat milk latte with extra whip at a mega-chain coffee shop!

Memberships are good for one year after purchase, but can be renewed at any point before expiration to make sure your perks don’t lapse.

Upon purchase, members will immediately receive a digital version of their membership card. A custom-etched metal membership card, along with other physical member perks, can be picked up at the Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe on your next visit, OR be mailed by request for a shipping fee.

Memberships are only good for the person who purchased the card, and perks or benefits are non-transferable.

Family membership options are available. Add up to four “family members” at a discount of $150 each. Family members do not need to be related or reside at the same address.

Payment plans are not available, and the membership must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to have your membership card with you when you visit? What if I forgot my card?

You do not need your membership card or digital card to check in as a member. We can look you up by phone number or name.

Can I apply my $5 PlayPass fee to my membership cost?

Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer or discount based on prior transactions due to limitations within the system. If you’re considering purchasing a membership, feel free to do so online prior to your visit or in person with a staff member before paying your PlayPass fee.

Can I upgrade my membership?

We don’t currently have different membership levels. Family member add-ons are available. Add up to four family members at a cost of $150 each.

Can I get a membership for a partial year? Monthly?

We do not offer partial years or monthly memberships at this time. We are only able to offer full-year memberships at this time.

Do my kids need a membership?

That’s up to you! Children under 12 won’t need to pay a PlayPass fee, but there are plenty of other perks that children and teens may enjoy. An option to add up to four family members to a membership is available.

Does my membership cover my family?

It does not, but there is an option to add family members to a membership at a discount. Add up to four family members to a membership at a cost of $150 per family member. Family members do not need to be related or reside at the same address.
