Grain Brain: A Trivia and Tasting Fundraising Event

Join 515 Brewing Company and The Rook Room for an online team trivia spectacular on June 27th from 7 PM to 9 PM featuring an at-home curated beer tasting, beer-themed trivia, brewing presentations from the pros at 515, and, of course, prizes for the winning team. Better yet, a portion of the proceeds will go to ACLU of Iowa in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and Pride month.

- Four rounds of 10 questions each. Beer-themed, but specific beer knowledge not necessary.
- Optional: Exclusive, curated beer tasting set available to purchase for $24 not included in the registration fee.

Teams of up to 6 will face off in four rounds including general trivia, audio, visual, and puzzle rounds. All rounds are beer-themed, but you definitely don’t need to be a beer expert to win; think pop-culture meets beer.
The cost to register is $15 per team. The virtual event will be held using Zoom and answers will be input using an online form so at least one computer with internet access per team will be necessary. Team captains will receive links to the Zoom broadcast and answer form. Each team is free to coordinate team communication during the however they prefer — in-person, conference call, Facetime, carrier pigeon.
Each round will also feature a 515 Brewing Company beer curated specifically for the Grain Brain event as part of a tasting set including four 8-ounce mini-growler tasters.
The tasting set will be exclusive to the Grain Brain and will be available for purchase separate from registration for $24 per tasting set and, again, will include four 8-ounce (32 total ounces), freshly-bottled 515 Brewing beers curated for this event.
The tasting is not mandatory to participate in the trivia event and will have no impact on questions or scoring. Supplies are limited. Tasting set pickup will be available the day prior to the event on June 26th and the day of (June 27th).
