Shop local, shop small, and support your community at our upcoming Saturday Mini Market featuring local creator and author, R.E. Bellesmith. Stop by the Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe on Saturday, July 11th, between 8 am and 1 PM to look, shop, and read.

“R.E. Bellesmith is the pen name of Des Moines-based journalist Isaac Hamlet, a 2018 graduate of the University of Iowa and former Des Moines Register reporter. Over the past four years, he’s published two fantasy novels. The Wilderlands is a lyrical dark fantasy that takes cues from The Witcher and The Odyssey; the book follows three travelers who find themselves stranded in the Wilderlands–full of gods and monsters–with one of the men who attacked their cravan. His other book is a middle grade/young adult novel called The Unspoken Prophecy in which four kids find out they are the chosen-ones in an other-worldly prophecy–a prophecy the wizard who instructs them tells them they are not allowed to hear. ”

The Rook Room’s Mini Market series is focused on helping to support fellow small, local businesses, creators, makers, and more by offering them a place to pop up and share their amazing creations.
