Pop-Up Playing with Pride + Rainbow Pies at Des Moines PrideFest

The Rook Room is teaming up with Storyhouse Bookpub, Gravitate Coworking, and Piebird Pies for a chill kick-off to your Pride weekend. Join us Friday, June 9th from 5 PM to 8 PM in the Gravitate Lobby.
Swing by the Storyhouse to grab a rainbow hand pie from the Piebirds while you peruse their LGBTQ+ book displays. Then, play with Pride with The Rook Room next door in Gravitate’s lobby where we’ll be celebrating diversity in gaming with some D&D character creation and a mini Pride-themed one-shot campaign.
Annelise will be on hand to help you create cool characters that lean into playing as your character’s authentic self – thanks to the beauty of TTRPGs allowing us to play exactly how we want. After creating a character who reflects what you’re excited about, Tony will run a quick, 15-minute adventure.
