Rook Room One Year Anniversary Weekend Party

The Rook Room Game Lounge & Cafe is turning one this weekend! We officially opened our doors at our home on SW 5th one year ago on Sunday, May 31st – and what a year it’s been.
We welcome you all to come and celebrate with us. After all, you’re the reason we’re here, and you’re the reason we’re still humming in existence!
The weekend kicks off with our crowd-favorite Jigsaw Puzzle Swap on Saturday from 9 AM until 2 PM. Bring some puzzles to swap for new (to you) jigsaws. We are Des Moines’ puzzle people, after all!
All weekend long, we’ll have some very-purple specials including:
Anniversary Mulberry Hugo – A mulberry twist on the classic light, refreshing, and bubbly Italian cocktail. Featuring St. Germain, Revelton Mulberry Gin, mint and ube syrup, prosecco, and club soda. Served with a lime wedge.
“Edge Piece” Meatlover’s Flatbread Pizza – Oven-baked na’an flatbread with house marinara, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Graziano sausage, diced ham, and bacon.
“One Year” Ube Cheesecake – Ube and vanilla cheesecake served with a scoop of ice cream and a celebratory birthday candle (unlit, but you can imagine).
We will have additional activities this weekend as well. Most, though, this weekend is about you and your continued support of this dream-turned-reality to build a game lounge and cafe as a gathering space in this Des Moines community we love so much!
