Treasure Quest is back and bigger than ever in 2026!

Join us Saturday and Sunday, May 23 and 24 – also known as National Scavenger Hunt weekend – to search the greater Des Moines metro area for hidden Artifacts. Use your intellect to solve puzzles and uncover clues leading to your next challenge. Complete the quest for honor, glory, and even some legendary prizes.

We’ve created a scavenger hunt map better than ever using a digital app called Proxi. You’ll check in at each Artifact location with the QR code. Looking for your first artifact location? Hit the button below to register and get ready. Clues will be revealed at 12:01 AM on Saturday, May 23. Follow the clues to every location to complete the quest and become the ultimate treasure hunter.

This is the Rook Room’s 5th annual Treasure Quest, a city-wide scavenger hunt designed to help adventurers of all ages discover some of the Des Moines area’s many amazing places and neighborhoods.
